Sometimes it rains

assalamualaikum

another out-of-subject post, just a little story of mine.
so, upon reaching my college yesterday, i was very shocked to know that two of my comrades were down during the re-sit test last week.
failing to pass the re-sit test would cost nothing but a fortune.

frankly speaking, i'm not very close to them either, but, they are still my friends. both of them had occupied my memories and hardly erasable. they may not know about me much due to my quietness and stand-alone style. plus, we only had fun together during a volleyball or a soccer match. however, our first meeting in this place was quite interesting i would say.

firstly, the one with the name, shark.
shark? what, is he a member of a gangster or something? nope. in fact, he's the most cheerful guy i've ever meet. so how do we first met each other?
well, as the second intake of this jad program, i had some confusion on which class that i should be in as no clear instructions were told so i asked some lecturers. they said, "for the time being, just join any class until further notice". so after i mistakenly went into w class, i was told to change into a class named x. there are 4 classes in total, w, x, y, and z. simple huh? then i met this guy. with a giant spectacles on him, we chatted. i was like, "man, this guy, keep calm will ya?" as he was very noisy and i got annoyed by it. during an engineering class, rozaimi sensei introduced an apparatus called calipers. various type of calipers were explained and we were given the chance to see and hold these things by ourselves. so, this shark guy took a vernier caliper, and he told me, "how about i use this to pick my nose? wouldn't it be sensational?". and i was, "you're crazy", at then, with his big voice, he told everybody in the class about it, the class burst into laughter. "you sure are crazy". the first impression is never a true fact. as time passes by, i became to understand a little bit about this guy. he's very patient, confident in many ways, good at making jokes (main point), sometimes he's moody but it would never affect others, he knows how to control himself, he's very playful though, but, i can see his efforts in every situation. shark, i know you wouldn't read this ( i won't let you do so anyway), but let me let you know, you're a good person man, i always respect your decisions and your actions. eventhough we're not best pals, we could have been so. you're a great person, i won't be surprised if you'll be more successful than us in jad in the future because i know you can do it. if it's you, nothing is impossible. i'm very sorry because i was not helpful during your hard times, i wish time would turn back, and i'll help you with all my might. take care in your future career, and always, do you best.

and ams
ams? what kind of name is that? well, of course i won't write the full name, it's copyrighted!
so how do i met this guy?
a week after staying in jad, in an evening, i was so bored that i asked my roommate, sani (not anymore), if he would lend me his tennis racket so i can try my luck on tennis. i wanted to join those guys playing soccer but i was just too shy, and hated from being ridiculed by my asis's batch-mates  in asis, i only play soccer during inter-class and inter-dorm matches and i sucks at soccer to be honest. i do played soccer before, but there's an incident that made me stop playing as i don't have the cut for it anymore since then and that would be another story.
so, that evening, i went to the squash court and started hitting those tennis balls. was quite hard at first, the ball always went flying off into the bushes behind the court. upon the time i started to have some grip on hitting those balls, ams appeared outside the court. he seems interested, yep he does. so he told me if i have extra tennis rackets. he told me he played tennis before and was quite good at it. so i told him that the racket was not mine, and i don't even have one. it was sani's. so he asked me if i can help him borrow a racket from sani. i did so we played together. i thought he was the seniors as he is so tall and i still didn't fully know my batch-mates yet. the balls we were using back then was quite new and i was quite surprised as sani lend me those. it seems expensive, well, it's tennis! so we hit and hit and hit and fwam! a ball went into the air and disappeared into thin air. and then a second one! oh great, how much would this cost!? sani will be irritated won't he? so we started searching for the disappeared tennis balls. we went into the bushes, up onto the ceiling of building behind the court, walked along the kpm's fence, looked underneath some cars and ended up with nothing but sweats. it was almost maghrib, so he said, "let's give up. here, i found some balls over the rooftop just now, let's exchange them with this". i was quite scared on how sani would respond, but in the end everything went just fine. thank you sani!
well ams, do you still remember this? to be honest with you, you were my first friend that had done something fun with me in jad. it was quite boring to hit those balls alone. apart from being lonely all the time. but thanks to you, i came to realise that, if i stay like that forever, then nothing will change. what's with the shyness? there's no shyness when it came to making friends. thanks ams. you had thaught me something valuable that i won't be able to realise it myself if i didn't meet you in the first place. good luck in your studies man. i'll be looking forward to know your upcoming progressions.

well then, shark and ams, good luck in your lives. we're not close, but we're still comrades. insyaallah, we'll meet again one day as i'm sure our path will be crossed in the future. until that time, sayounara.

A Claim

assalamualaikum

well, today's my last day of holiday before another semester to be strive for. so i was informed that today, there'll be a fogging session in my neighbourhood. since jad student's holiday timing is quite special and different from normal university's students, none of my same-aged friends are back yet and i really don't have anything to do during that time.
so i've decided to go for a sightseeing around my neighbourhood. together with my loyal nouvo lc, we traveled from taman tengku anis until pantai cahaya bulan. nothing new can be observed except for some constructions. it was a lonely ride till the end. it's not that i don't like to make friends with new people in my neighbourhood, but it's just not my style.
a water sprout in taman tengku anis

pantai cahaya bulan, it used to be like this until the land is corroded by the seawater. wondering if corrode is the right word for this.

anyway, since today is the last day, don't expect for a new post so soon 'cause the hectic life begins from here.

say, as a student, we can never get away from exams and tests. and during these times, students suddenly became very religious. it's a good thing but, why now? but then, maybe they're just starting i guess? and eventually when the exams had passed, they're back to their original behaviours.
why is the mosque only full during exam seasons? seasonal mukmins? come on, you only remember Him when you need His help? and when you're done, you forget Him? you ditch Him? do you not know the meaning of istiqamah? why don't you be istiqamah? don't you ever feel like a hypocrite person? do you pray because of exams or because of Him?
He is always there for us, why can't we do the same? so you're saying it's because we're normal humans, but then, we're His slaves, remember? therefore, be istiqamah in your doings. if you do hate hypocrisy, then shouldn't you be avoiding from being one as well?

And when adversity touches you at sea, lost are [all] those you invoke except for Him. But when He delivers you to the land, you turn away [from Him]. And ever is man ungrateful.

Epilogue

assalamualaikum

sudden post
just a little story of mine
got a call this afternoon from utp administration
they claimed that i still have some more fee pending about rm2k..
what a drag! and i was in a very good mood by that time,
it's almost a year since i'm out of that place, why did they ask about it now? why now?
then they replied about the agreement and blah blah blah,
they still didn't answer my question, why now? why utp?

alas, probably it was my fault for not reading those agreements properly
just some childish rant of mine, i do have some respect for utp before,
it's not that i hate utp, well i hate them now, not the students, but the administrations, haha
this is not a restriction from entering utp though,
but still, if you do, brace yourself,
it's the prestigious utp you know! or that's what people always say.

oh well,
for a reminder,
in a game, one should fully understand the rules and the guidelines so that one will not get lost in it.

there goes my 5 months allowance. i could buy tonnes of ice creams with those. 残念!

p/s: for those who hated the mpputp's, you know, they are working their butt off in there, it's not an easy job you know, complaints are everywhere, and they need approvals from the higher committee too in order to progress in solving your problems! be patient!

The Corner

assalamualaikum

i'm back from redang and it was fantastic. spent 2 days 1 night in redang abadi resort for rm250. quite cheap comparing to the other package with the same content which cost rm350. 12 noon after 2 hours trip on the ferry, my friends and i finally reached redang island and my first impression was, "gorgeous!".

redang beach

went snorkeling for about 5 hours at 4 different beaches. different fishes and different tides. spotted some turtles but by the time i went into the water, they're already gone. would be great if able to see one of those creatures.

not the one i saw but remember this? windows 98? haha

seeing the coral reefs sometimes get me an eerie feeling. imagine, floating at the height of two storeys building, above some enormous weird-shaped coral reefs. almost like those things are going to pull you down and eat you. haha. influenced by the alien movies i guess.

anyway anyhow, now, the main topic, the corner.
what i meant about the corner is the turning point i was talking about before. you see, there's a quote from HAMKA that says,

"Kalau hidup sekedar hidup. Babi di hutan juga hidup. Kalau bekerja sekadar bekerja. Kera juga bekerja..."

which if directly translated, it means,

if you live simply just to live your life, the boars in the jungle also live their life.
if you live simply just to work, the monkeys in the jungle also work.

so the point here is, i came across this saying not a long time ago, and it makes me think for awhile. "what differs us from those animals then?","what should we do to be different from those creatures?". come to think about it, first, we are born from our mother's belly, then we learn new things in school, make friends, work, meet our life partner, new family, death, new child, school, friends, work, new family, death, and it goes on and on. death can come anytime and anywhere though. so, aren't those life forms in the jungle also do the same thing? i mean, they were also born, learn new things (hunting, collecting fruits etc), socialise, reproduce, and die.
what's the difference?

but we're different right? but at which part? at which corner?

the differences lie in our brain. our thinking skills. unlike those animals, they can't think, they can't simply change their lifestyle. their are meant to be like that. but what about us, humans? are we not allowed to choose what we want? is it forbidden for us, humans to change our lifestyle and adapt to new things? is the cycle i mentioned previously is the only way for us to live our life? an absolute no, right?

what i wanted to say here is, we, humans, have the ability to think and that is what differing us from those animals. so think! how does the tree grow, why do objects stuck to the ground, why are there shining stars during the night, why there's day and night, why the water from the river does not mix with the sea water, and many more. we have the ability to think, so we should question why these things occurs! so we learn science. do science explains everything? yes? no? no. we were told that everything is made up of a small particle called atoms. but then, do we see these atoms? then we were told that there are oxygen in the air which is needed by the lifeforms on the ground in order to live. and do we see these oxygen? can we feel, taste, touch or hear these things? and then, we are told that everything in this universe started off with a big bang, which means before that big bang, there's nothing, and how come the earth and the other planets can move around the sun within a fixed orbit? natural occurrence? we create robots, so the robots are created by us. those robots do not exist on their own do they? what is this leading to?

a question to be hold

there's god, Allah the Great. He had arranged everything. He created us. He differed us from other life forms. He gave us the ability to think so that we could find Him using the clues he left for us, the Quran. Just because we can't see Him, it doesn't mean that He does not exist.

say, we invented robots, do they have the exact same physical and mental condition like us humans? do they have the same skin like our skin? same blood like our blood? same brain like our brain? no! which means, the creator is not the same as the creation. we can't imagine how He looks like because He is not something that we had ever seen before. He is our creator. The one and only, Allah SWT.

a creation can't create the creation created by the creator. see? we can't even create our own bones. instead, we replace them with other things that looked similar..

so, here we are in this world. should we live like the other animals? now that we have the ability to think? what should we do? clues? refer to it? why only us, humans, are given the ability to think? why?
this is my turning point. i've come to realise that we, humans, came into this world with our own goals and purpose. not simply just to live. we have our own tasks and duties to be taken care of. which will be concluded in the next post. stay tune.

coming soon. (ignore the mentioned date)
